Style is language variation.
2.      How many groups is the style of English divided into?
Style of English is divided into 4 groups: phonetics style, grammatical style, lexical style and semantics style.
3.      What is phonetics style?
Phonetics style studies possibilities of how to use sound, its combination and frequency.
4.      What is grammatical style?
Grammatical style studies word structure from the side of style of its usage.
5.      What is lexical style?
Lexical style studies lexical forms which have the ability to express emotion of meaning poetically.
6.      What is semantics style?
Semantics style studies meanings of words, analyses and classifies words.

There are nine figures of speech in style: They are epithet, personification, metonymy, synonyms, antonyms, antitheses, hyperbole, litotes, allegories

The writing styles are: literary language, the language of advertisement, the language of newspaper, scientific and technical writing and academic writing.

Trainee journalists are advised to follow the rules of clear writing proposed by the writer George Orwell, which include: “Never use a long word where a short one will do. If it is possible to cut out a word, always cut it out. Never use a passive where you can use an active. ”

Literary language often deviates from everyday language, even though it is in no way deviant.

Advertising copywriters have to present their message briefly, and in an eye-catching way.

There are 3major ways in which advertisers get their effect: They write it large, they make it short, they make it jingly.

1.      Use the passive voice in an impersonal style when the discovery, experiment, or result is more important than the person involved.
2.      Use will + verb or the present tense to state a natural law or usual result.
3.      Write instructions using commands (imperative verbs).
16.  What should you avoid using in academic writing?1
1.      Avoid using the first person (I, me, my, and mine) unless you are told to use it.
2.      Avoid using the passive voice of the verb if you can.

We concentrate on experiences that made you feel a strong emotion or that made you think about something or someone in a different way when we make a personal writing.

The goal of the expository writing is to explain or inform.

One purpose of persuasive writing is to make readers, listeners, or viewers think or feel a certain way about an idea or a product. Another purpose is to make people take action.

An essay is a group of paragraphs about one subject. In many ways, an essay is like a paragraph in longer, fuller form. Both have an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Both explain one main, or controlling, idea with details, facts, and examples. An essay is longer because it contains more ideas.

Topic sentence is:
-          the most general sentence
-          states the purpose of the paragraph
-          the most important sentence
-          contains controlling ideas
26.  What is a thesis statement
Thesis statement is usually one sentence that gives the writer’s purpose for the essay. It comes at the end of the introduction paragraph.
27.  What are the functions of the introductions?
The functions of the introductions are:
-          To introduce the topic/ tells the reader what the essay is about/
-          To orient the reader by given background information about topic
-          To state thesis statement.
28.  What is the body paragraphs?
The body has usually three paragraphs. Each paragraph is about 6 sentences. The functions are to explain, define, clarify, illustrate the main idea or essay and to persuade the audience. Body paragraphs begin with a topic sentence that contains controlling ideas. The topic sentence is followed by many supporting sentences. Supporting sentences use facts, examples, descriptions and experiences to prove the topic sentence.
29.  What is the conclusion paragraph?
A compulsion completes the essay:
-          By summarizing the main idea
-          By making recommendations about ideas
-          By making prediction about ideas. It should be no more than 2 to 3 sentences

Essay writing is an important part of the development of critical thinking skills. As students learn how to write good essays, they learn how to organize their thoughts better and present reasoned, convincing arguments. It included:
-          Understanding the topic
-          Planning the essay
-          Organizing well the essay

The goal of expository essay is to explain or inform. There are 4 approaches to expository writing.

33.  What is the goal of Argumentative essay?
The purpose of an argumentative essay is to argue for or against some opinion.
34.  What is the goal of Persuasive essay?
The purpose of a persuasive essay is to convince someone to do something or to think a certain way.
35.  What is the goal of Comparison essay?
A comparison essay asks you to compare two or more options. There are two ways to approach this type of essay talk about each option in a separate paragraph. It is better to talk about the option you think is better after the option you think is worse.
36.  What types of letters do you know?
There are: letters to a friend, letters of complaint, letters asking for/giving information, letters of request, letters of invitation, letters of application etc.
37.  What are informal letters?
An informal letter is personal writing in which you share your thoughts and feelings, so it can be simple, in other word you can use your own words, short forms (for example, kids; Can I …? we’re; etc).
38.  What are formal letters?
We write formal letters to someone we don’t know, e.g. to a university secretary asking for information about course etc. Organization of a formal letter is different from an informal letter. You always write the post code at the end of the address. At the top, on the left-hand, you write the address of the person you are writing to.

The characteristics of formal letters style in letters are:
